Dinners you can make @ Studio

This is my 3rd week here...

First week... the food that I made tasted awful!!!! (that's why no pics before that :p) Hey I'm a good cook at home!!! but why.......It MUST be the ingredient, weather, electronic cooker...it's so slow/fast and I cant control it!!!! The Chicken Snitzel last week was one of the BEST! Then followed by...

Garlic bread + Tuna egg wrap + Tuna salad...too much tunaaaa (>.<)
I finally bought myself a bottle of ketchup~~ woo hoo!!! The tuna egg wraps looks much better with some color eh!
Blueberry doesn't really taste that good eating it alone.. so I mix it with yougurt and it's delicious!
Tired of cooking so I got Sushi one day... 3 pcs of roll... cost me 7 dollars~~ I really need something asian!
Then today... I bought some english breakfast muffins...like those you get from McDonald's breakfast.... then I made fried egg, 2 pcs of bacon and voila!!! looks & taste like McD's breakfast :D ok maybe not exactly but I'm pretty satisfied!

does it look yummy? :p~

MCG - Melbourne Cricket Ground

A colleague manage to get a bunch of free tickets from his friend and so off we go to the MCG on Saturday night. I took the train to Richmond station...wasn't really sure where exactly but the MCG is pretty easy to find and a short walk away as most of the people who got of the station are heading to the same place. The match that I saw was interstate NSW vs VIC.... I had absolutely no idea on the cricket game...though there's one big stadium right in front of my house in Malaysia. Tonight.....I learned a new game! It was not so bored after all....learned the how the scoring is done, why they run / not run / hit the ball / not hitting the ball... it can get a bit slow at times if there's no scores going on. The game is counted by the number of RUNS that the player did...pretty interesting...I was there at 6pm but my colleague was late for an hour!!! waited and waited...and these are the photos...

Waiting in front of Gate 4

Birds are my companion

Still waiting @ Gate 4... bags are checked before you go in.. alcohol is not allowed

em....statue?
Finally we got in!!! Can't believe my old Nokia phone can take such great pics in the evening! We're lucky to have a seat pretty front..... there's a big screen in front and the guy you see on the left... he's pretty cute! lots of fans asked him to sign their shirt...cap...hand... etc.. though I don't know any of them.. but I know his name is Michael Hill! ^^ see I'm picking up! The game starts at 7pm and ends at around 10pm-ish...it's called Twenty20...meaning each team has 20 rounds.. there's 6 balls per round.....VIC lost that night....but it's a great experience for me! ^^

Melbourne Adventure #2 - Australian Open, Rally for Relief

Australian Open!!!! This is my first time watching Tennis (or any sports on an arena)! On a proper court! With a couple of a bunch of real Tennis Super Stars!! Team Gold, led by Lleyton Hewitt, included Novak Djokovic, Ana Ivanovic, Justine Henin, Caroline Wozniacki, Roger Federer and Sam Stosur entered first to rapturous applause. They were followed by team green, which was led by Queenslander Pat Rafter, and made up of Andy Roddick, Andy Murray, Victoria Azarenka, Vera Zvonareva, Rafael Nadal and Kim Clijsters. The ticket cost AUD20, a hefty RM63 but it's all for a good cause, it will go to the Queensland flood victims. There are a total of 15,000 fans packed in the Rod Laver Arena it was a great sight! Luckily we're seated at the seats which is not directly under the sunlight, if not I'll be toast!

There is microphone straps on each player so that we can hear them jokes, "panting" etc. It was pretty fun! In the end of the day, $750,000 had been raised by fans, the players, Tennis Australia, the ATP, WTA and the ITF. On top of this, Queensland Energy Resources CEO Pearce Bowman generously announced that QER will double the money raised over the next fortnight and urged everybody to give whatever they can to the appeal. I also bought some souvenirs.

A Key Chain, AUD10

Australian Open shirt for my dearest hubby!

Back to today, I began adapting better with the time here and now and not feeling so so so sleepy the whole day. I'm pretty lucky that there are colleagues that willing to let me ride with them to and from work. This really saves up alot of time and energy! If I'm taking a train + train + bus, it will takes me more than an hour!!! I cook most of my dinner....here's another one for today.

2 pcs of small Chicken Snitzel (bought from the Prahran Market) fried coated with eggs. Surprisingly it turns out really good!

Strawberry yougurt with fresh peach! Cut a peach into pieces and mix it with the yougurt. Taste great!

Melbourne Adventure #1

First week in Melbourne! After 7 days...I'm finally getting more accustom to the place, where I'm staying, what's around the hotel, what to buy, what to eat! Here is my food adventure \\(^0^)//

I bought some sausages from the market...they are Lemon & Oregano flavour....no idea what is it but it sounds nice... below is the result of my cooking...no idea how to cook as well cuz the sausages are like minced meat stuffed into a tube of skin. Therefore if you cut it, the meat will all come dropping! Imagine my shock when I cut it before cooking the first time! This is my 2nd sausage and I've boiled it in the water until it was cook, ahh.. looks so much better! ( don't laugh!!! >.< ) Taste surprisingly good (^_^) and I've finally bought Soy sauce for my eggs!!! They actually sell Lee Kum Kee soy sauce for only AUD2.19!!!

Yesterday I went out with a friend that I just got to know here on 2nd day of Melbourne. She was craving for chinese so we went to this chinese restaurant called Tea House that is on Chapel street.

We sat by the window. That's a tram passing through.

The menu is really Chinese, we ordered the famous fried rice and a basket of chicken dumplings which turns out to be really good! Whats special is, I've order a hot eat that says "Strawberry Cream" in the menu. What comes to your mind??? Strawberry flavoured tea with some sort of cream/milk yeah? and guess what, this is how it looks like when it arrives.
OK there's no cream after all, it has a strong strawberry taste with a tad of sour, taste more like strawberry juice + tea, like it. Naturally it looks like a normal cup and I hold it up casually and take a sip from the lid (yellow arrow) and disaster!!! The HOT tea comes pouring out from the layer where the blue arrow is!!! I wet my pants~~~ (its HOT!!!) luckily I was wearing a black pants :p if not it'll probably will be a RED spot and...T.T *sad & embarrassed* After taking a good look at it... I actually DID take a good look at it when it is serve! I was thinking "strange cup" in my mind and then started drinking.. :p
Turns out that you have to remove this filter thingie before you start drinking.... =_=.......
It's a fun day after all...... :)
