a Long Long pOst....

It seems that I haven’t been posting as frequently enough that I thought I ought to… Let’s start from the Hari Raya weekend… It was as really long weekend with nothing much to do… me and my sister woke up @ 10.30am and found that the house is empty… thinking that mum has gone to the market / breakfast / brunch and will buy some food back to feed us…. Waiting and waiting… at 1.30pm… “tut-tut” my sms rang and voila! “Hi dears! I’ve reached Faser’s Hill! It’s cold here! We’ll be staying here for about 2 days, u girls take care at home ya! Love, mum..” great… my adventurous mummy…..

What to do next? Ok.. since my dearest Nikki is slowly turning grayish in colour.. we decided to bath him.. slowly we tried to lure him into the toilet without mentioning the four letter words B-A-T-H cuz his pointy ears will recognize the words and go running and hiding under the tree, between the bushes, wherever he thinks that he’s camouflaged and we could find him and no amount of food luring, pulling and commanding will make him come out from it’s hiding place… he can sit there for the whole day until he’s satisfied that nobody is forcing him near the water.. only he’ll happily come out from his hiding… anyway that day, we somehow successfully escort him into the toilet and start the bathing ritual :p water, soap, rub-rub, hmm… hair is too long and it’s all tangled up.. so we decided to CUTahem… sorry.. TRIM… so armed with a pair of scissors.. let’s start the grooming session~~ hehe..it’s kinda fun actually, snap snap abit here, trimming abit there… he looks quite handsome actually after that with those unruly layered fur :p but in the midst of trimming, I accidentally snipped of a tiny piece of his skin behind the ears!~!~!~ and it turned and gnawed my hand T.T but it didn’t hurt… maybe he’s just trying to serve a warning to me.. so we stopped snipping and pat him dry and let it free out in the garden… but inside me.. I’m so guilty… I hope he’s ok.

Monday, still was a public holiday… my sister is going out with her friends for movies and stuff and I’d just stayed at home… the whole day… and my Nikki… he’s angry of me T.T he doesn’t wan me to touch him, doesn’t even wan to come into the house and sit beside me watching tv as usual.. doesn’t even want to look at me~~ sigh… my Monday blues… on a public holiday…. So I spent the whole day sleeping, reading, and watched Confession of Pain… it was pretty good… ok.. every movie with Tony Leung in it was good to me :p~

Weekday… weekday was normal… the 9th Emperor’s season is here and it means raining season… raining in the morning means that it’s the best time to hide under the covers and snooze till noon… but we all have to work… my life became too routines that it scares me a little.. work, gym, home…. Work, gym, home… I planned to go at least 3 times a week and possible.. .go yoga everyday!!! I wanna shed some pounds, toned some muscles.. :p heheh sounds impossible.. but we’ll see… I’m quite happy that Irene, my colleague noticed that I’ve thinned down a bit… but during the dinner last nite with a bunch of uni friends.. they still says I’ve put on weigh T.T sigh.. I know…. The uni days is filled with divings, jogging @ cyberparks, squashing at least once or twice a week… but working life sux… u don’t have much time on games (cuz it needs partners / groups / friends) to make it fun… and you only sat there in front of your pc the whole day… after breakfast, after lunch… what’s left moving is just your fingers…. No wonder I don’t get any VISIBLE results… Sigh…

Thursday, the day I went to 9th Emperor’s Temple in Ampang… it’s my first time attending the ceremony and it’s overwhelming! There’s hundreds of people everywhere and smokes and stuff that my eyes were watery throughout the night.. however I haven’t had the chance to see people walking on coals because it’ll only be performed on the actual day that is tomorrow… anyway it’s a different kind of experience J special thanks to ChowYong who lead us all the way there on phone… Ampang is real complicated @.@ and also that someone that called 3 times that night to make sure I’m safe (^_^) that made me happy :p

Friday, it’s a great day! Finish worked early, I have a gathering dinner with my old colleagues from my ex company. Though most of them has already left that same company too :p Addition to that.. I get to drive the Honda Jazz the whole night~ gosh I love that car… why issit soooo expensive… why issit has to be fully imported from Japan and not assembled locally :( anyway, thanks Keen for letting me drive the whole nite :p Food at Kelana Seafood Restaurant is nothing to be brag about… needless to say it’s expensive but surprisingly.. Farith actually willing to fork out RM150 out of the whole bill and the guys topped it up so the girls wouldn’t need to pay… hehehe... it’s great to be girls… :p Ismiza gained is infamous tummy back... There was also Mandy who’s now working in Sunway as well, as usual Liew is always lost and late… and me and ah Keen… after dinner we had some drinks in SS2 with Joey… then balik….

Ironically, I placed a booking for the Toyota Vios on Saturday… it’s more of an impulse thingie.. I’m tired of weighing the pros and cons of Vios vs City… it’s been ding-dong-ing in my mind for one whole month and I’m sick of it already!!!! What the hell…. Just choose a car and that’s it! >.<>J

Oh ya, Saturday I went to the curve, had lunch of PJet and YLeng @ the Bavariab Bierhaus. As YLeng said.. it’s all meat meat and meat… starters was some cold cuts and breads… followed by Honey Glazed Pork Knuckles (yummy!) then chocolata dessert~~ :p a sinful Saturday~~~ cuz after 2 hours… it was followed by a pint of handpicked Almond Fudge Baskin Robins… on a rainy day… hmm…. This is what you call “hang fuk” :p hehehe…..

Sunday was sleeping day…. Hang out at dad’s… did some reading.. oh ya I bought some books from Borders on Saturday.. The Alchemist (finished~~ it’s a good read and taught me how to listen to the Souls of the World) hehehe yeah I’m always too into the books that I read :p then another was The Notebook from Nicholas Sparks.. still on the shelves… will try to start it by this weekend… was thinking to get The Innocent Man from John Grissham but nowadays.. I’m more to leisure reading then serious read.. :p lazy d…..

Dinner on Sunday was a big reunion with uni friends… NeePeng and Cynthia came down from Penang and called us out for a steamboat session… even the Turtle is here… it’s one of the biggest bunch since we grad….. more than half the gang attended with their respective partners… sometimes, when u see them all coupled up there’s always a lil’ pang of envy inside :p still… I’m happy to meet all of them (^_^) hey, we grew up together in those 4 yrs in a deserted place called Cyberjaya and played various stunts and spent countless night hang out on mamak stalls and copied each other’s lab report, even mid term tests :p there’s one of our best times there is and that’s why we’re all still so close even some of us are far far away like Brazil? You people who worked in HuaWei…. Stop bragging about where and where you’ve been to!!!!!!!

Ok… Monday.. start of another week… promise to blog every other day ok! Man.. I should bring my camera out with me more often now.. so that can put nice nice pictures especially the port knuckles :p hehehe…. See ya!

Improved Service

Today I went to the Immigration office in the old Subang airport to renew my passport. Much have been said about our government service industries, today I finally get a first hand experience myself. I would agree that yes, their services have definitely improved much compared to ten years ago. I still remember when I first followed mum to the Immigration Office to make a new passport.. It was so packed I have to stand in the line for ages and ages... then it took about 2 weeks to wait for the passport to be ready and collect. Today, I've done everything.. in ONE day.. let's say... maybe only half a day. I was there at about 9am, took number and 15 minutes later I'm at the counter getting my finger prints done. Half and hour later I was already at the cashier paying RM300 for the fees. Then I hanged out at the the nearest McDonald because they need to take 2 hours to complete your book. at 12pm I'm back at the Immigration office and voila! My passport is done! cool! I can head back to work then.....sigh....
Overall, it was good actually.. comparing to the hours of sweat and stress that we use to have when the thought of making a passport comes to mind.

However, I still think there are some improvements that need to be made:

1. There are not enough signage and information visible enough for the public on what you should prepare and which counter you should go to take your number etc. Yeah, there ARE some signs and papers sticking on the wall explaining some of the information, but they're dark and the papers/posters are dirty. Malaysia... we should uphold our country's image as a nation that is clean and systematic and this should be shown especially in our
government industries as they directly represent us.
2. Toilets! Need I say more...
3. Service with a SMILE and politeness. "Eh.. you pergi sana take photo! then balik cari I!"
In order to improve our image.. we should use at least proper English / Bahasa Malaysia.

Besides the above, I guess the overall rating would be good (^_^) keep it up Malaysians!
Oh ya! Happy Independence Day, Malaysia! MERDEKA!

I'm going to Putrajaya to watch the fireworks tonight~~ hopefully the traffic won't be too congested.. :p

A * \ Blasting / * Weekend

My first presentation as an Allianz Life Insurance Agent. Yes, finally the result of the exam is out and… I PASSED! with a grade ‘C’ :p hehehe… hey not bad for a person who haven’t study at all and only manage to read through the model questions in the 20 minutes of LRT ride on the way to exam. I was thinking.. ok, if I failed…then forget about it… but then I passed! Oh no… now I have to do a regular presentation of at least 6 people per week in order to get at least one closing per week to achieve my RM10,000 premium (T_T) how… I’m still wondering why am I so enthusiastic in signing up for the test in the first place! I don’t have any friends that works with Allianz, nor even any acquaintance.. and I actually just “volunteer” to explore a new “path” of career and here am I… selling Income Plan and all… sigh… since I’m in.. I might as well make it a target to achieve what I set out to do.. though the exam fee is not much, still.. I’m the kind of people who would stay and walk till the end of the race if I have decided to start one. So.. support me my friends!!!! Actually the Income Plan was quite good I even bought one myself.. the up side is you only pay 10years of premium and that’s it! After the 10years you only sit back and get the 7% fixed income of the sum assured… so in addition of getting paid you’re also insured! Think about it… and call me… (^_^)

August 25th, today at the Pyrofest Fireworks Competition… Team Italy coloured the sky of Putrajaya with quite a spectacular fireworks display! It was far better than Team Australia that I saw on Wednesday. The place was not too crowded and I’m glad that it’s also windy and cool. I was there with 2 of my friends and since I’m the only one that brought a camera that night… I’ve recorded the whole 22minutes of fireworks display. Gosh…my hand… it’s so tiring.. and I’m trying so hard not to move my hand too much not even a slight shake as then the movie will be blur and it wont turn out nice. It’s worth it though (^_^) however I was kinda tired that night.. after waking up at 8am in the morning on such a nice weather…then go to class.. then do a practiced presentation for YeeLeng… then shopped… then at night holding my camera the whole night trying to be as motionless as possible for 22 minutes even there’s a lizard crawling on my feet…(-_-)… I’m soooo tired…. An eventful day! Thanks Kar Fai for being the driver of the night! J okie… time go zzzzz…. Tired…. (actually this was written on Saturday nite but is posted today due to no network connection :D )

I've got my blog back!! again....

Wow! Look at my previous post! Oct 2005!!! I can't believe it's actually been 2 years since I last wrote something here... let's say.. the past 2 years was really crazy... I worked in a job that require s me to be on call day and night.. imagine going to work at 4am in the morning! the up side was... I've met lots of cool friends and great colleagues that taught me many things! LOVE YA'ALL!!!!

Then now, I've change to a new company... new faces and new job scope... Yeah, life is definitely not as hectic as before as this company encourage people to go home early.. that is 5.30pm! Gosh, I'm so not use to this! I used to go to work when the day is bright and go home when it's dark. But now... when I stepped out of the office... "ahh~~~there's still sun~~~" :p So now... it's pretty cool... I've got more time for myself, for my friends (but sometimes I'm so lazy to go out... unless somebody is willing to drive ^_^ ), then I joined a gym, did Yoga (man, you actually sweat tonnes with minimum movement! for lazy being me...I like!) Life does seems a bit different now... as it's not all about work anymore... But I do miss being with people I like... as I've joined a company that is 100 times bigger (in terms of employee headcount) than my previous... the working environment sure is different... so wish me luck people!

Oh ya, on Friday, a dare from my colleague made me signed up on the yahoo sports premiership fantasy football! For an ordinary girl like me... who would have imagine??!! It would be cool for a ignorant girl like me to get, okay maybe not TOP but a good enough ranking and beat all you soccer crazy guys! Hey, it feels great to see the points I've earned and move up the ranking one step at a time! :p Do you know who is who that you're buying and selling? sure I do! I think.... who cares if I could bust you soccer freaks!!! hehehe...

Yesterday, I attended a friend's wedding... the thing I liked about malay wedding is they dressed up like prince and princess.. the Raja Sehari thingie... it's cool! Their wedding theme is Blue so the canopy, the whole set up was all blue in color... I like the groom's baju melayu with a real Keris at his waist...
After the wedding, we planned to go for a karaoke session in Neway... when we're there, as usual, one of us would register in order to get a room and then... "I'm sorry sir, we regret to inform you that you have been blacklisted in our database and is banned from entering all Neway outlets" what the??!! Now, this is something... I will not elaborate on why and when and how... Let's say his friends drank a lil' too much on the last occasion and "accidentally" crashed the glasses, microphone, wall, tables, in-room toilet etc creating such a mess that I guess they could not have imagine... so they decided to blacklist the name that made the reservation, that his... my friend who doesn't really know what happened that night since he left early. And there, we're staring at him with disbelief and shock and then laugh "man! blacklisted from all the karaoke joint in malaysia! you must have done some really bad things!" well... lesson learned :p

The Malaysia Fireworks Competition!!! I really really wan to see it.... anybody interested? I saw the pics in the newspaper and it looks so awesome!! I want I want I want!!! Let's see if I have a chance to talk about that in my next post! >.^ Have a great week guys!
